Registration for new students typically begins the Winter prior to the fall the child begins at Clarlen. Children must be 2 years old, 3 years old, or 4 years old by September 1st of the coordinating year he/she is starting school [ie, 2 by September 1st to join the 2s program, 3 for the 3s class, etc]. This is a state mandate that we cannot control.
Children currently enrolled at Clarlen and their siblings have priority for class placement for the following year. Class formation is based on the needs of the community.
Tuition is paid in three parts:
Snacks, supplies, insurance, and most field trips are included.
There is also a registration fee: a one time $175.00, non-refundable fee paid at the time of registration.
Our year begins in September and continues through May. With a few exceptions, the calendar follows that of the Howard County Public School System.
